CGS launches revolutionary new products at Label Expo

Minneapolis, MN (September 7, 2012) – Labelexpo Americas 2012 in Chicago will mark the North American debut of three new products for the label and packaging production markets. At Booth 5430, CGS will unveil its ORIS XG Inks—a new, extended-gamut eco solvent ink set, including orange and green, for the Roland VersaCAMM VS series. It will also show its new ORIS Transparent Film line, enabling eco solvent printing on any substrate, and RealPro Packaging Suite, an automated workflow system and 3D visualization environment for labelling and packaging print service providers. Besides the three new offerings, CGS will also showcase Aproove, the unique, cloud-based eCollaboration software.

Color Everywhere
CGS approach to “cross-fleet color management” has gained widespread acceptance among printing companies of all sizes and types—providing consistent, high-quality color output over multiple devices and device types, including calibrated color displays. The Roland VersaCAMM VS line of wide-format printers has become very popular with label and packaging printers. The new ORIS XG Inks—first previewed at drupa—provide a wider color gamut than the standard ink set and include orange and green, giving label and packaging designers, prepress professionals and brand managers the opportunity to prototype their work in full color, just the way it will print. Seeing the Real Thing
To view label or packaging proofs on the actual material to be used, UV printers are often the only solution. However, not all UV printers have a sufficiently wide color gamut, or lack special colors like metallics. ORIS Transparent Film for the Roland VersaCAMM VS is an ideal solution, providing wide-gamut color capabilities on virtually all substrates. The printed film is easily laminated to the selected media, for a vivid and accurate proof of the finished product. In addition, CGS-ORIS customers may also create virtual prototypes of label and package designs with RealVue 3D Packager.
