CGS supports record sales growth with new personnel appointments

Company expands technology and marketing team in United States and Germany
Hainburg (May 7, 2007) – CGS Publishing Technologies International, the global leader of color management solutions, digital proofing systems and specially-formulated media, announces the expansion of its U.S. and European operations with the addition of Susanne Metz and Sharon Maxey, and the promotion of Bernd Rückert. Metz, Maxey and Rückert bring increased focus on the company’s technical support, product development and marketing efforts to meet its growing customer requirements after a year of record sales growth in 2006.
“The addition and promotion of these high caliber professionals further demonstrates our growth and success in the graphic arts market on a global level,” said Trevor Haworth, CGS Publishing Technologies president and CEO. “We attribute this exciting growth to the strong partnership we have with our customers. They recognize the value we bring to their business and have first-hand experience to the benefits our ORIS product suite delivers.”
Effective immediately, Susanne Metz will take on the responsibility of public relations and marketing communications for Europe, Asia and Oceania. Metz joins CGS from Burson-Marsteller, an international PR agency, where she served as senior associate for technology clients. With an expertise in software and business process management, Metz has more than eight years of experience in PR and marketing communications for the IT industry.
Also effective immediately, Sharon Maxey joins CGS’ growing team of color management specialists to serve premium customers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Her role as technical support specialist includes supporting CGS customers and the CGS sales force; product management in color-output for multiple printers and presses including inkjet, wide format, digital and conventional. Prior to CGS, Maxey was a prepress technician for JB Printing in Kalamazoo, Mich.
In addition to the personnel expansion, CGS GmbH has promoted Bernd Rückert to the position of product manager. In the new role, Rückert is responsible for ORIS product analysis, definition and strategy. A member of the CGS team since 1998, Rückert previously served the company as an application specialist where he was responsible for product implementation, training and support.
“We are pleased to welcome Susanne Metz and Sharon Maxey to the CGS team and acknowledge Bernd Rückert’s well-deserved promotion,” said Andreas Kämmerer, CGS Publishing Technologies GmbH president. “They join an incredibly talent group of professionals dedicated to the graphic arts industry.”
